Connor McDavid’s Edmonton Oilers are facing a serious issue right now. The Oilers lost a game against the Colorado Avalanche on February 7, then again against the Philadelphia Flyers on February 22. The Edmonton fans were left fuming when their favorite team lost back-to-back games. But then, they lost to the Washington Capitals again with 7-3 on February 23. The back-to-back losses, fans thought, would serve as an alarm to the Edmonton team to gather themselves and buckle up to win today’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. But, oops, they lost again with a 4-1 final score.
The streak of losses has triggered NHL fans to take a jab at the Edmonton Oilers. One fan has reacted to it, calling the Tampa Bay game a “disaster”. Another fan just pummeled the Edmonton player, commenting, “I don’t think Stuart Skinner cuts it if the Edmonton Oilers want to win the Stanley Cup.” But another fan contradicted him, saying, “It’s not just Stuart Skinner, it’s not just Bouchard. The majority of this team needs to play better. So many turnovers, just wasting possession.”

Connor McDavid’s Edmonton Oilers are now second in the Pacific Division with 34 wins and 20 losses. And if such a disastrous losing streak continues, a nightmare will be looming over the Edmonton Oilers team.
