It’s the last leg of the Asian Swing of the LPGA Tour! Some of the biggest stars in women’s golf are competing at Hainan Island in China. The 2025 Blue Bay LPGA is heading into the weekend rounds, and the field is cut to 74 players. While not everyone will be focused on competing for the title, many of them will be hoping to get the maximum from the purse.
Both Danielle Kang and Ruoning Yin have made the cut. In fact, Yin also teased Kang by gifting her a cake for qualifying for the weekend. But what will they, along with the other 72 stars, be competing for over the weekend? Let’s take a look at the prize money distribution of the 2025 Blue Bay LPGA.
2025 Blue Bay LPGA prize money payout
The total prize money for the 2025 Blue Bay LPGA is $2.5 million. That’s a $300,000 increase from last year. Bailey Tardy and Co. were playing for $2.2 million in the 2024 edition of the tournament. The increase was expected when the LPGA Tour announced a record-breaking 75th season schedule worth $131 million in total purse value.
In 2024, Tardy bagged $330,000 in prize money after winning the event. According to Golf Monthly, the winner of 2025 will bank a whopping $375,000 this year. Everyone in the top 5 will earn more than $105,000 of prize money unless there are ties. The players ranked from 65 to 74 will have a chance to split $5,809 in prize money. That depends on what the leaderboard looks like at the end of the tournament. Here are the remaining payouts for every position on the 2025 Blue Bay LPGA:

This was the complete prize money payout list for the 2025 Blue Bay LPGA. Now let’s take a look at the possible winners of the tournament.
Who can win the 2025 Blue Bay LPGA?
Ayaka Furue, Nasa Hataoka, and Cassie Porter had incredible first few rounds. They are definitely some of the favorites to win the tournament. Alternatively, Jeeno Thitikul will always be a threat to capture the title. The Thai pro has been in great form recently, and it won’t come as a surprise if she battles for the title in the end.
Former champion Gaby Lopez is also a great candidate. She has been on a great run in this tournament. Lopez can win the Blue Bay LPGA for the 2nd time in her career if she strikes on Sunday. Daniella Kang, who got teased for making the cut, was at T58 the last time we checked. It will be hard to imagine her as a top candidate for the title run.
